I'm a C/C++ programmer, and have written an opengl graphics engine in C for linux. I can say that in a proper language with debug tools, this kind of thing ought to have been easily fixable. I completely understand that you're not vex, and its hard to find bugs in someone else's code. Especially stuff like flash, I imagine, since its in a proprietary format, which means you have to rely on Adobe's toolset. The flash runtimes are probably half the problem in the first place.
Its too bad this stuff requires a few hundred dollars for tools. It's hard to look at the source code without it.
