the govts dont show up because you used the editor

I found another bug. It's the same bug that the original Broken Mirror had. You play on and off for a day and all is fine. Then, today, I tried to play and my saved info was gone. Just....gone. I had the flash storage set to unlimited but it was still gone. It kept telling me that my game was saved when I warped from system to system, but all the saved info is gone. I'm done until someone fixes this. This is the only internet game that does this.

Increasing flash space fixed build bug. However, try building a box of stations around a planet. You will find the box is offset to up and to the left. It just nicks the planet.

I mean the coordinates set by the build screen are inaccurate. Assuming the planet symbol is supposed to be accurate, then building stations around it should in turn make stations around the actual planet. It doesn't. They keep their layout, but they are shifted about a planets width to the top and left. This is a pain for defense preparations, etc.

OH, and I still seem to be getting the build bug where stations don't get saved. I upped the space to unlimited and it still dissapears.

Thank you, Jaden. I tried telling Josh about it but I don't think he believed me. I've tried building stations and whatnot around a planet and, for instance, if I build the station at the lower right, it appears way off to the upper left. If I build the station on the left or right, it appears on the opposite side. It should really be like the original Broken Mirror, where you build a station and it starts building exactly where your ship is.

The system placer sucks. The stations never appear where you want them to. What in the game did you change to make it do that ?

You must have changed something, because the original game doesn't have all these problems. I wouldn't mind the station thing so much if my game would just be there each and every time I go back to it. The saved info keeps disappearing.

What is the point of testing a game that keeps disappearing ? How am I supposed to judge a game that I can't play if I leave the game ?

Just playing the same version on a different site will cause it to register a different set of save games. All version changes create a new save set which is independant of the others(he updated it on the 14th). That is why your saves dissapeared. were he to replace it with the older one, it would reappear. Now, the build bug still stands. Its not 'critical', but something somewhere is causing a faulty coordinate to be set. I'm going to start a new game and see if the bugs disappear.

That is NOT why my saved game disappeared. I only play Broken Mirror 2 on the link - http://bm2complete.webs.com/BROKENMIRROR%202.swf

That's the right place, right ? It's the only one that I play. The original Broken Mirror had this same problem. I know it's not just me. Anyone else have their saved game disappear ?

I get the feeling that Vex's original code was pretty sloppy. Alot of the 'nan' issues would have been avoided with proper error checking and such. Never worked in action script, but I imagine it must be a mess in there.

If he had been so immaculate, then there wouldn't be the disappearing saved game (the biggest issue), or the station build bugs.
