I am going to comment, its a dell right, my Aunts computer is slow and terrible to, but i think your problem is its full of junk, what you do is buy another hard drive thats compatable with your system, and it should add enough space to get it running long enough to clear some space, OR you could still buy another hard drive, BACK UP EVERYTHING, then flatten your origanal hard drive then put only the neccisary filesback on your original hard drive, OR get aa new hard drive, and replace the old one (dude my computer is 15 years old and is better than yours, and mine is a windows 2000) hooking up the old drive to the new one (which new ones usually have about 100-200 Gig) and put the old files on it, OR just delete the whole hard drive, OR final option, just get another computer, take only the IMportant files off of the old one, clear the old one of all data, and sell it on Ebay for more than you bought it for.

I'd say Ep's last option is the best

If I may point out, Disc Cleanup wont get rid of all the junk cluttering up your hard drive. However, theres a nifty program I used way back when called CCleaner, which is actually in most respects better than the standard Disc Cleanup. And its free.

But if that didnt work, Id suggest going with EP's idea. And if I may make a suggestion, dont buy one straight out of the box, there's this site called tigerdirect.com which basically has these things called barebone kits, which allow you to build your own custom computer. My dad built my computer for me using tigerdirect; it was cheap as far as I know, and probably better than most computers on the market. Very Happy

If you're missing parts then you're screwed.

Windows 7 requires 1 GB of RAM on a Laptop.

Some netbooks run limited versions of Windows 7, only requiring from 500MB to 1GB RAM.
