How good is Star Trek?

I haven't actually seen star trek. So I've heard that its really really good but is it worth the watch? Which series should I watch. Should I start with a specific series?

hmm it doesnt really matter id watch the first few movies then move on to a bit of tng and a bit of voyager but really the best st is season 5,6,7 of ds9 cos there is so much action

I agree with Josh, but I personally think you should work your way up from Enterprise, next the Original Series, then to The Next Generation, then DS9 and then Voyager. Then you HAVE to watch Star Trek 2009.

I have no idea how i haven't managed to star trek. I'm actually a big anime fan. (part of it is because i'm japanese.) But star trek never really was a series that I wanted to watch. Every time I saw it on television, it was kind of dull looking with the colors and stuff. I know it has a great plot though.

I see. One of my friend's dad made my two friends (they are brothers) watch star trek every sunday morning before church. He was like, Star Trek before church. lol. Or else they wouldn't be able to get their allowances or cars in the future. (They are pretty damn rich.)

Yea, its weird. It used to be on one channel like 24/7 but now I don't see it playing, ever. I'm going to have to find some site to stream it or something.

Youtube isn't that great anymore though. Ads + bad quality half the time.

I disagree. Veoh is pretty good with quality but has shitload of ads. Myspace isn't that bad either. Youtube has a gigantic issue with quality but is good for fun vids.

really? I find that veoh is one of the more reliable ones except when its server is overloaded sometimes.

YEA! I totally forgot about that site. That is one of my favorites except for the fact that you can only see like 3 hrs worth.
