Computer speed.
Sun Sep 05, 2010 10:27 am
I was hoping somebody could post some help/links to sites/software that help with computer performance.
Now i don't want software that deletes all my data and resets every think to factory settings, just some think to hell make it go faster.

RAM?? try plugging an external hardrive in (vista/7 only) and go to [computor-right clik the hardrive-properties-the readyboost tab] then if it doesnt work strate away keep cliking retest then select how much memory to reserve as ram and there u go
(it doesnt always work. USB2 is teh best. and yer u have to have the memory on ur hardrive for it to work. it works for as long as the hardrive is plugged in)

if you dont install loads of stuff you'll probably find your pc runs fine see thats the problem people install loads of software which boots up with the pc rather than on command which makes them run slower as there are more processes running and there fore less space for what you want to do. also maybe try a different internet security as they're pretty big hoggers of processing power

but ur all talking about space on ur hdd internal hardrives, u can have a miillion terrabites it wont affect eh speeds of ur computor, its the RAM (random access memory) thats what effects teh proccess speed of ur computor, basiaclly the ram is the memory put aside that keeps the pc running fast

no ram just affects how many tasks you can run at once and what speed they run at you could have like 20gb of ram and a 1 ghz processor and your pc would be epically slow.

but that wudnt run together, so u cudnt the processer has to match ram, for instance u cna have crap ram but an epic processor but u cant have a crap processor and epic ram cos they just wudnt work
