NAME Class: (This is just the name of the type of ship)
(All the
systems and the stations within where you can buy this ship)
Description:
(The in-game description)
Hull: (The hull points of this ship)
Shields:
(The shields points of this ship, on the same scale as hull)
Propulsion:
TYPE OF Drive (Usually Warp, if it is Impulse then ships cannot warp
while in a system)
Mass: XXX tons (How much the ships weighs in 1G,
usually bigger for the size of the ship)
Cargo Capacity: XXX tons
(How many tons of cargo this ship can hold at any one time)
Turns per
5 seconds: (How fast the ship rotates, 1.5 is average)
Antimatter
Storage: XX units, enough for XXX days of travel at minimum efficiency.
(How many units the ship can hold total and the days this will last, the
smaller the units and bigger the days the better a ship is. Also, the
number of days is for trips across the whole of the galaxy, short trips
will prove more efficient and get you further than stated in-game)
Base
Price: XX,XXX Latinum (Cost of ship, however it varies from this with
market changes, if you have to pay more than this you are getting ripped
off, if lower you are getting a bargain.)
Combat Rating: RATING (The
scan’s combat rating, however it is only accurate for low to medium
strength ships, all medium to high strength ships are listed as deadly.
This rating can still sometimes be inaccurate)
Comes with: (The
weapons this ship comes with when you buy, it will overwrite all your
weapons)
Recharge for BEAM: X seconds (How long it takes a races
primary beam weapon to recharge as a guide to beam recharge time for
most ships, for civilian ships the Type X Phaser has been used)
Recharge
for TORPEDO: X seconds (How long it takes a races primary torpedo to
recharge, some species will have a better torpedo which is often more
destructive and faster to re-load, for civilian ships the Photon Torpedo
has been used)
Other note: The weapons for small scouts and Birds of
Prey may have disrupter ratings since those small ships cannot equip
much else and come armed with them to start.
Special Notes: NOTES
(Notes on the ship to help you, what it is good for and if it’s even
worth buying)

TOP TIPS WHEN BUYING SHIPS:
Just before you make that purchase of
that heavenly looking ship consider this first.
1) A quick note, try
not to buy vastly lower priced ships then yours, the trade will mean
it’s free but you will be cheated out of much of your cash in the
long-term, always try and buy bigger and better.
2) A second quick
note, remember that when you buy for yourself your old ship will be
traded in. Mouse over and check how much it will actually cost you. This
way you can buy ships earlier and still have cash to spare. But
remember when buying for your fleet it will always be full cost.
3)
Right to begin, before you even consider buying, make sure you still
have some extra Latinum to hand for weapons, antimatter and personal
cargo. At the very least have 1,500 to spare.
4) Now, will it
actually do you any good? If you’re trading look for a vessel with good
cargo. It you’re fighting then look for one with good fighting stats.
There is no point in buying a cool looking ship that you will have to
sell soon after since it’s no good to you.
5) Check the prices
against the base prices, even if they’re roughly the same just warping
out and back in the system will get you new ones, try and get a good
deal. Don’t buy if it’s overpriced and also remember that all ships in
the system will be the same amount over or under priced.
6) So you’re
ready to buy, before you do sell all your antimatter and weapons, these
will be towed to the dump with your old ship so why not make a small
profit from them first?
7) Ok, you’ve bought your beauty. Give it a
little fly about and get used to it.
Cool Now if you’ve bought a
warship you might want to buy a weapon or two for it. Remember very
small ships cannot equip some weapons.

Civilian Ships

Danube Runabout Class:
Description: A
small ship with minimal weapons, defences and cargo space.
Hull: 50
Shields:
50
Propulsion: Warp Drive
Mass: 1500 tons
Cargo Capacity: 50
tons
Turns per 5 seconds: 2
Antimatter Storage: 13 units, enough
for 104 days of travel at minimum efficiency.
Base Price: 3,500
Latinum
Combat Rating: Harmless
Comes with: Type X Phaser.
Recharge
for Type X Phaser: 3 seconds
Recharge for Photon Torpedo: 8 seconds
Special
Notes: A good choice to boost your trading early on. However most
starter ships have similar stats, this is really only recommend for the
Earth Empire as the Saber is no good.

Oberth (Tug) Class:
Description: Formerly Earth’s primary science
ship, the Oberth is now a cheap tug.
Hull: 100
Shields: 100
Propulsion:
Warp Drive
Mass: 3000 tons
Cargo Capacity: 150 tons
Turns per 5
seconds:
Antimatter Storage: 17 units, enough for 204 days of travel
at minimum efficiency.
Base Price: 6,500 Latinum
Combat Rating:
Decent
Comes with: Nothing.
Recharge for Type X Phaser: seconds
Recharge
for Photon Torpedo: seconds
Special Notes: Does what it says on the
tin, an ok and very cheap step up from the Danube, pretty agile too.
However if you can wait to save just a little more than that better
ships will await. But at this level feel free to take this and make much
better income.

bye

Constellation (Tug) Class:

Shields:
175
Propulsion: Warp Drive
Mass: 4500 tons
Cargo Capacity: 450
tons
Turns per 5 seconds: 2.75
Antimatter Storage: 30 units,
enough for 300 days of travel at minimum efficiency.
Base Price:
8,000 Latinum
Combat Rating: Above Average
Comes with: Nothing.
Recharge
for Type X Phaser: seconds

8,000 Latinum
Combat Rating: Above Average

Recharge
for Type X Phaser: 2 seconds
Recharge for Photon Torpedo: 5 seconds
Special
Notes: Same price and a bit tougher than the Constellation, however a
little less manoeuvrable. Looks good though. Totally your choice between
this and the Constellation.
