Alternate Future (part 2)

The USS Firestorm burst into space around the planet Alpha Centuari, flying directly at a broken peice of the Indestructible's hull. The new point defense system blasted through the jagged scrap of metal.

"What was that?" asked Captain James Simmons
"Sensors indicate that it was a piece from the Indestructible, Sir."
"Send a subspace message to the Bullseye and the Andromeda to get here double-time"
"Roger that sir"
"Sir, you better see this"

12 unidentified crafts all decloaked in a close formation ahead of the Firestorm, however they were all battle-damaged and not fully sheilded.

"Sir we're recieving a hail"
"On screen"

A humanoid alien appeared on the screen.

"This is captain James Simmons of the Human ship Firestorm. Who are you?"
"We are the Kaltonians who recently broke away from the main government"
"Sir, 93 ships are approaching this position"

The hail ended.

"Raise shields, full alert, arm all weapons. "

93 alien ships jumped out of hyperspace, moving into a sphere around the Dissidents and the Firestorm arming weapons and hailing all opposing ships.

"We are Kaltonia, we will not permit rebels to leave our awesome Empire. Surrender or die. You have 1 minute to comply by lowering your shields and disarming your weapons. That is all."

"Sir, they have placed a hyperspace inhibitor in the vicinity, meaning that people can only exit, not enter hyperspace while inside the affected area."

"I guess this means we're fighting them"
"The dissidents seem to agree"

"Fire all weapons, evasive maneuvers on my signal."

"NOW"
