ok so my laptop was working fine, bit slow but no major problems. then it froze and nothing responded, my mouse ctrl-alt-del didnt work, so i was forced to use the button to turn it off. since then however, my laptop will get past the bios screen, it will come up with load windows normally or in repair mode, I have used both
Normal settings: it gets to the load screen loads then restarts and comes up with load windows normally or in repair mode
Repair mode: screen goes to black and then the mouse loads and thats it, it just stays
I have taken the hdd out and tried it my computor and the same thing happened, meaning it mustg be to do with my hard drive..
I haver clicked f8 and lanched in safe mode, it loads up past the loading screen, goes black, then the mouse loads and nothing further happens, i have tried to restore from previous settings, the screen goes black, and amouse loads..
I have a toshiba Equium A200-1V0..
and the only option left as far as my knowledge goes is to format the laptop, but i havent backed my laptop up for ages...
so any help wud e apreciated, and is there anyway to recover stuff off a formatted hardrive

There you go, it became undormant, screwed up your computer, thats your own fult, you knew it was there, next time delete it before it becomes undormant.
And i have no solutions, either loose all of your data, or pay someone $1,000 to fix it.

The mmoral of this story is, scan something before you download it, and if its dormant, set your computer to run a scan everyday, at a time you know you wont need to use it, while your asleep, at school, or even work.
Though it happens to the best of us.......so dont feel bad, i recommend, since you havent backed it up, pay someone to fix it.
