flashgate help Empty flashgate help

Sun Aug 09, 2009 8:33 am
ok so you may or may not know foofong 1 is in charge of the flashgate project but he asked me to set up all of the planet names and descriptions for the milky way galaxy and some other stuff

i would really appreciatte it if you put milky way planets and there descriptions here...look before incase the planet is already in here rember i need 50 milky way galaxies these are what ive got so far

ABYDOS-KONAEl
Abydos was the first planet reached through Earth's Stargate program and possibly the first world the Goa'uld brought humans to. Abydos is a desert world, useless save for its deposits of naquadah. When this world was under the domain of Ra, he forced the human inhabitants to mine it for him. Abydos was destroyed by Anubis in 2003.

ALTAIR-DENMARK
Altair, designated P3X-989 by the Tau'ri, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which held a Stargate and was once home to the Altairans. It was decaying for some reason and was becoming unsuitable for the humanoids that lived there. The dying residents instead built android replicas of as many of them as they could. When SG-1 arrived, the only android left was Harlan, after Wallace died 99,207,000 Earth hours (11,000 years) before SG-1 encountered Harlan.

CHULAK-LAMEU
Chulak is a Goa'uld homeplanet, previously under the rule of Apophis. The planet was the first to denounce the Goa'uld as gods. Chulak later fell to the Ori. Chulak orbits a binary star system, which gives the planet hot days and cool nights. The planet is a mountainous, heavily foliated world with vast coniferous forests. Chulak was attacked by Apophis after he assumed control of Sokar's forces, thus the Jaffa of Chulak came to become strong supporters of the Jaffa Rebellion.

CIMMERIA-TEPOS
Cimmeria, designated both P3X-974 and P3X-794 by the Tau'ri, is a planet under the protection of the Protected Planets Treaty, with the dominant race being the Cimmerians. The residents of this world are descendants of northern Europe, and firmly believed that the Asgard were gods that protected them, until the Tau'ri successfully contacted the Asgard, who decided that it was no longer necessary to maintain their deception. The planet's primary method of defense is a device called Thor's Hammer, which is capable of detecting symbiotes, and especially those of the Goa'uld.

EARTH-DELPI
Earth (Terra in Ancient, Midgard to the humans settled by the Asgard, Tau'ri in Goa'uld, and designated P2X-3YZ by the Tau'ri themselves), is the home planet of the Tau'ri and the cradle of human civilization in the Milky Way. Earth was among the first planets that the Ancients colonized when they left their home galaxy about 5 million years ago.shortly after the ancients ascended the Goa'uld known as Ra, discovering Earth and its inhabitants, took it for his own and ruled for 5,000 years until an uprising freed the planet. Thanks to the rediscovery of the Stargate, the Tau'ri have become a very large defender of the galaxy with the help of allies such as the Asguard and even ancients.

LANGARA-NAUSICA
Some time ago, it was occupied by a Goa'uld known as Thanos, who brought humans to the planet some three thousand years ago. Thanos attempted to create a new form of naquadah called naquadria, but his experiments nearly destroyed the planet. It's unknown whether Thanos survived the incident, but it is not likely since the world was afterwards abandoned by the Goa'uld. Over the millennia, the inhabitants of the planet become more technological advanced and, by the early twenty-first century, it was ruled by three superpowers, Kelowna, Tirania and the Andari Federation. During the Ori invasion of the Milky Way, Langara was conquered shortly after the devastation of Dakara. There has been no contact with the Langarans since, but with the use of the Ark of Truth, the remaining population would have been liberated.

P3X-797-PASO
P3X-797 was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy inhabited by a Bronze Age human civilization. The planet is evidently in synchronous rotation with its sun, thereby making one side of the planet, the Land of Light, a land of eternal brightness and the other side, the Land of Dark, a land of eternal darkness where the Stargate was located. The people on this planet are apparently descended from Minoans brought to this world, most likely by the Goa'uld. As of March, 1997, the "gods" hadn't visited the planet for some time. For unknown reasons, the planet's Stargate is located on the "dark" side, albeit not far from the "border" with the "light" side.

ORILLIA-VULCAN

Allthough the planet was destroyed with askgards dying breaths a shrine was made and over time has reflourished, 2 years ago (earthdate) asgards that survived from all over the universe came to show their final respects and some decided to saty and live on the planet.
As it slowly becaome habitable the life support domes where taken down and the new age of asgard where born, sharing there technology with Earth and sharing their planet with thousands of other races that came to live on Orillia to show their respects to the great race, that fought for freedom until the end.

ASCHEN PRIME-THOLIA
Aschen Prime, also known also as Aschen and designated P4C-970 by the Tau'ri, was the homeworld of the Aschen and one of the many planets to feature a Stargate.
In the year 2000 a written note with Jack O'Neill's handwriting and blood emerged from Earth's Stargate reading: "Under no circumstances go to P4C-970. Colonel Jack O'Neill." Unknown to the SGC, the note was sent from the year 2010 in an alternate timeline in which the Aschen covertly sterilized Earth's population. Gen. Hammond subsequently declared the planet off limits to the SGC and its address was locked out from the planetary database and all contact with it was forbidden.

MADRONA-trill
Madrona, or PX7-941, is a planet, that was terraformed by unknown aliens roughly 900 years ago. In order to maintain the weather on Madrona, the Touchstone is necessary. It was inhabited by the Madronans, a primitive race, who had not the technology to terraform the planet, but the knowledge on how to use the Touchstone. After it's terraforming, Madrona became an Earth like planet with a nice climate, which could easily turn into a deadly blizzard, if the Touchstone was not used correctly or missing. SG-1 visited the planet once, and returned after five weeks, in order to study the Touchstone. But it was stolen by people in SGC uniforms. SG-1 agreed to recover the Touchstone, which they eventually did, after discovering, that Earth's Beta Gate was used by the NID.

you dont have to find the flashgate planet that we will switch it for as probably it will get changed but ur recomendation would be apreshiated

Ok - so i had due to life becoming very busy, i had put this on hiatus. However, after the end of january - i will have several months free of exams. I'm going to use that time to finish flashgate.

The last version i have still is very different to raffitz' version, i was going to change the interface, but after experimenting with lots of different kinds, i decided to just leave the one he made, it looks nicest.

Stargates are already in there....but they can only go to one planet at the moment... There's moon bases, star bases, stations. More variety in planets etc.
Planet shops are half fixed, still some stuff to do, but that's easy.

Not actually that much that needs doing.... hopefully the game will be completed by march.
So yes - and update from me. sorry for being so quiet.

Thanks.

Yeah, i was going to upload my current version, only it's quite glitchy still, little things....
Anyway, it should be good, and i have a flashgate 2 planned already, but that wouldn't be ready till next year as there's so much i want to change about a second one....

I assure you though, it's good. And i've tried multiple planets in a single system..but i couldn't make it work quite right...

I'm going to use flashgate, but instead a whole new interface, a whole new set of sprites, whole new planet sprites, whole new menu system. I want to get rid of money....and replace it with something else.... i'm not sure yet....

It will be hugely different to any flash trek game, or flashgate 1. Because then it rwill seem like a propper sequal...you know? I don't want it to just have a different storyline but be essentially the same game, because that's boring.

It would be like how dw's BM3 changed flashtrek, by being utterly unique.
